Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has crossed over 10 million sales of its popular Activa in the southern region of India. This region includes states and union territories such as Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Puducherry, and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. This milestone reaffirms the Activa's status as the most preferred and beloved scooter in India.
First launched in 2001, the Honda Activa has revolutionised the Indian two-wheeler market, becoming synonymous with reliability, innovation, and style. Over the years, it has cemented its position as a household name, gaining widespread popularity across the nation. The Activa's success story in the southern region is particularly remarkable. The first 5 million units were sold by 2017, taking nearly 16 years to reach that point. However, the next 5 million units were sold in just 7 years, indicating a surge in its popularity. This figure includes sales from the entire Activa family, comprising both the 110cc and 125cc models.
The robust network has ensured the Activa's presence in every corner of the region, making it accessible to a diverse range of customers. The 10 million sales milestone stands as a testament to the unwavering trust and loyalty of HMSI's customers, as well as the support of its dealer partners and associates.
