The Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI), on Monday, celebrated the ninth anniversary of its Traffic Training Park in Shastri Nagar, Jaipur, in the presence of Kailash Mishra, Curator, Science Park, Jaipur, Department of Science & Technology, Government of Rajasthan.
According to the press release from the company, through the daily training for all age groups, the 2W manufacturer has educated more than 3.40 lakh kids and adults, including new and existing riders of Jaipur, since its inception.
Established in 2013 in collaboration with the Department of Science & Technology, Government of Rajasthan, the training park is said to be developed on the mini-city concept that simulates real road conditions - from traffic signals to zebra crossings and speed breakers and others.
Prabhu Nagaraj, Senior Vice President - Brand & Communication, HMSI, said nine years ago, the company initiated the Traffic Training park project in Jaipur. “We thank the Government of Rajasthan for their continued support to cultivate healthy road safety manners in the city. In future, too, we will continue to make Jaipur citizens safer on roads.”
Furthermore, the organisation claims to run daily programmes at its ten adopted traffic parks and seven Safety Driving Education Centres (SDEC) throughout India.
