
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has concluded the financial year 2024-25 with a total sales figure of 58,31,104 units, registering a 19 percent year-on-year growth. Of this, 53,26,092 units were sold domestically while 5,05,012 units were exported. In March 2025 alone, HMSI recorded sales of 4,27,448 units, including 4,01,411 domestic and 26,037 export units.
A milestone during the year was HMSI's formal entry into the electric vehicle market. The launch of the ACTIVA e: and QC1 models marked a strategic step into clean mobility. Deliveries for both products commenced in March 2025, with bookings having opened at the beginning of the year. HMSI showcased these models at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, along with the CB300F Flex-Fuel motorcycle, a portable electric scooter named Motocompacto, and Honda’s advanced battery swapping system through the Power Pack Exchanger e:.
HMSI also introduced OBD2B-compliant versions of several models including the Activa range, Dio, Shine 100, Shine 125, SP125, Livo, Unicorn, SP160, Hornet 2.0, and NX200. These upgrades ensure better diagnostics and emissions tracking in line with government mandates, while enhancing product features to remain competitive.
In the premium segment under the BigWing brand, HMSI launched upgraded versions of the CB650R and CBR650R, alongside the OBD2B-compliant NX200. The CB300F Flex-Fuel motorcycle gained attention as the country’s first 300cc motorcycle capable of running on multiple fuel types, supporting India’s ethanol blending goals.
Sales highlights extended to HMSI’s 125cc motorcycle portfolio, where Shine and SP125 crossed 30 lakh customers in Eastern India and 10 lakh in Madhya Pradesh. Cumulatively, HMSI surpassed 2 crore unit sales in South India, demonstrating deep market penetration across regions.
