The Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI), on Monday announced that it has sold five crore two-wheelers in the country since its sales operations began in 2001.
The first 2.5 crore customers were added in 16 years, while the following 2.5 crore customers were added in the following five years to reach the five-crore customers’ mark.

HMSI began its journey with the Activa, which debuted in 2001. The company gained its first one crore customers in the initial 11 years. In contrast, it added the next one crore customers in the following three years.
