HMIL Launches Venue N Line Starting INR 12.16 Lakh

Hyundai Motor India on Tuesday launched the Venue N Line in two trim levels starting at INR 12.16 lakh, ex-showroom, India, for the N6 variant and INR 13.15 lakh for the N8 variant.

The carmaker introduced the N Line brand to India with the launch of the i20 N Line in September 2021. Tarun Garg, Director (Sales, Marketing & Service), Hyundai Motor India, noted that the sportier version of the premium hatch had a 10% share of the i20’s total sales. Meanwhile, he added that Hyundai Motor India is seeing 38% of customer acquisition with the i20 N Line, with Bangalore having the most number of customers, while the normal variant stands at 28%.

However, the carmaker has made key changes to the exterior and the interior to attract its target Gen MZ customers. On the outside, the compact SUV gets dark chrome front grille N Line badging, while on the side, it gets 16-inch diamond cut alloy with N wheel caps with a disc at all four corners with red brake callipers and at the rear, the bumper gets a redesign with a twin tailpipe exhaust.

The SUV has a black interior to suit its personality while contrasting red upholstery stitching and red ambient lighting. Other notable changes include N Line three-spoke leatherette steering wheel and gear knob, both with N branding, a dashcam with a 2.31 LCD display, an 8-inch infotainment screen and a digital instrument cluster with TFT MID, to name a few.

Alongside, Hyundai has also retained Home to Car (H2C) with Alexa & Google voice assistant and updated Bluelink with Firmware Over-the-Air (FOTA) update, Embedded Voice Commands along with support for 12 languages, including English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Punjabi, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Oriya.

A press release from HMIL mentioned that the Venue N Line is offered with more than 20 standard safety features, including dual airbags, ESC, HAC, VSM, rear parking sensor and ISOFIX points, among others.

Available with two monotone colour options – Shadow Grey and Polar white as well as three dual tone colour options, thunder blue with phantom black roof, polar white with phantom black roof and shadow grey with phantom black roof, the Venue N Line gets up to seven years extended warranty option, three years Free Road-Side Assistance, 3 Year-Blue Link Subscription and five years Hyundai Shield of Trust, Care and Maintenance packages.

Garg noted that HMIL expects around 10,000 units of the new sportier SUV to be sold by the next year. Notable till date, the i20 N Line has been sold over 6,000 units, he noted.

Unsoo Kim, MD, Hyundai Motor India, said the company plans to introduce more N Line models over the next four years.
