Hero MotoCorp has launched the Xoom Combat Edition in India at Rs 80,967. The new variant gets a dual tone paint scheme that is inspired by fighter jets. The silver and black paint job with contrasting graphics on all the body panels looks very neat and gives customers another colour option to choose from. The Xoom Combat Edition is Rs 1,000 dearer than the Xoom ZX variant, which was previously the top spec variant.
Hero hasn’t made any other changes and the Xoom Combat Edition is mechanically identical to the rest of the variants. The scooter is powered by a 110.9cc, air-cooled motor that makes 8.05bhp at 7,250rpm and 8.7Nm at 5,750rpm. The engine is paired with a CVT.
As for the chassis, the scooter is suspended by a telescopic fork and a monoshock. The Hero Xoom Combat Edition rides on 12-inch alloy wheels and has a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear.
In terms of features, it has an LED DRL, LED projector headlights and an LED tail light. The scooter also gets an all-digital display with Bluetooth connectivity.
The Hero Xoom goes up against the Honda Dio and its prices start at Rs 70,211 and goes up to Rs 77,212 for the H-Smart variant.
