Hero MotoCorp has announced the launch of the Xoom 100 scooter in India. Slated to compete against the market leader Honda Activa brand, the prices of the Xoom 110 scooter starts at INR 68,599 ex-showroom Delhi for the LX variant.
Introduced with the scooter are the industry's first left-blank and right-blank lights positioned under the Hero Intelligent Cornering Light Technology. According to Dr Arun Jaura, Chief Technology Officer, Hero MotoCorp, the same will provide riders peace of mind during night rides.
The scooter features Xtec technology, Bluetooth connectivity, and a digital speedometer. Also on offer is a projector LED headlamp, Hero H-position lamp, and handle-mounted winkers. The tail also features the signature H lamp. The integrated braking system on the scooter comprises a disc at the front and a drum at the rear. Powered by a 110 cc engine, it also features 97% recyclable parts.
“The scooter has 25 patent applications,” added Dr Jaura.
The OEM will retail the scooter in Orange, Black, Red, Blue, and White colours. On offer will be three variants, namely Xoom LX, Xoom VX, and Xoom ZX. The ex-showroom price of the Xoom VX is INR 71,799, while it is INR 76,699 for Xoom ZX. Bookings for the scooter will start on February 1, 2023.
