The world's largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, Hero MotoCorp has launched the Maestro Edge 125 with connected vehicle technology. This makes the Maestro Edge 125 the third product in the company’s portfolio to get ‘Hero Connect’ as standard, which adds features like topple alert, theft alert, find my parking, track my vehicle, trip analysis and more.
The Maestro Edge gets a fully digital speedometer with Bluetooth connectivity that offers features like pairing with a passkey, turn-by-turn navigation with superior display, miss-call alert, incoming call alert, RTMI (Real-Time Mileage Indication), ECO indicator, and low fuel indicator along with a LED projector headlamp, which is first in the segment.
The updated Maestro Edge 125 is powered by a BS VI-compliant 124.6 cc engine with programmed fuel injection with 'XSens technology' that delivers an output of 9 hp at 7,000 rpm and torque-on-demand of 10.4 Nm at 5,500 rpm.
For the record, XSens is a collection of sensors that gather important data in different situations and helps scooters achieve the desired result through the information that these sensors provide.
Malo Le Masson, Head of Strategy and Global Product Planning, Hero MotoCorp said in this latest avatar, the company has sharpened the Maestro’s ‘Edge’ further with an LED projector headlamp, digital speedometer, turn-by-turn navigation and Bluetooth connectivity. “These upgrades are part of our overall portfolio push to provide more technology and features to our customers,” he said.
The company has priced the scooter at INR 72,250 for the drum variant, INR 76,500 for the disc variant and INR 79,750 for the connected variant.
