Leading Indian e2W player Hero Electric on Monday announced the commencement of its hybrid sales channel to facilitate the booking of its scooters online and delivery through its showrooms across many cities.
According to a press release from the company, the current upward booking trend indicates the sales numbers to swell up to 250,000 plus units by the end of FY23.
It must be noted that the EV brand tried with the hybrid model first during the COVID-19 but later withdrew due to capacity not being able to catch up to the showroom sales.
Sohinder Gill, CEO, Hero Electric, said, “We strongly believe in the face-to-face interaction of the customers with our well-trained network to touch, feel and ride the bikes before buying one, however, some of our prospective customers are now confident to buy our bikes online.”
The company noted that during FY22, it managed sales of 100,000 of its e2W units and also announced its second plant in Ludhiana to boost production capacity to achieve one million units in sales in the next five years.
