The HENN Connector Group has taken a decisive step in its international expansion with the recent inauguration of its new assembly plant in Chennai, India. With an investment of approximately one million Euros, the Austrian company aims to strengthen its presence in the Indo-Pacific region by delivering high-quality plastic couplings to major automotive manufacturers from this strategic location starting in March 2025.

As demand for high-quality automotive components continues to rise, HENN Connector Group’s new Chennai facility is poised to play a crucial role in shaping the future of the automotive industry in the Indo-Pacific region.

'India is a key growth market for us, and with the new site in Chennai, we are creating the foundation to provide our customers in the region with the best possible service and top-notch quality. At the same time, this is an important step towards localizing and streamlining our production,' said Martin Ohneberg, Owner and CEO of HENN Connector Group, at the grand opening.

In addition, HENN has also established an engineering office in Pune, a city renowned for its pool of highly skilled engineers, further reinforcing the company’s commitment to development and innovation in India.

The plant’s inauguration was attended by several prominent figures from the business and political sectors. HENN Group CEO Martin Ohneberg and Sharath Sreekumar, Managing Director Indo-Pacific, welcomed around 100 distinguished guests.
