Gulf Oil Lubricants India Ltd has announced a strategic partnership with Nayara Energy to distribute premium automotive lubricants and AdBlue diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) across Nayara Energy’s extensive network of over 6500 fuel stations nationwide. This three-year collaboration aims to strengthen Gulf Oil’s presence in the rapidly growing highway and automotive retail sectors catering to a broad range of consumers across urban and rural regions.

The partnership will see Gulf Oil’s range of automotive products, including lubricants for two-wheelers, passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and agriculture-related vehicles, made available at Nayara Energy’s retail outlets. In addition, Gulf’s AdBlue will be the exclusive diesel exhaust fluid retailed at these locations, supporting efforts to reduce harmful emissions and meet environmental standards. The collaboration also introduces two-wheeler batteries to Nayara’s offerings, expanding both companies’ portfolios in the booming automotive sector.

Beyond distribution, the two companies plan joint promotional activities, including marketing campaigns and activations at Nayara Energy fuel stations. These efforts aim to enhance visibility and consumer engagement while reinforcing their shared commitment to accessible, high-quality automotive products.

Ravi Chawla, Managing Director and CEO of Gulf Oil Lubricants India Ltd, stated “Leveraging Nayara’s extensive network, we aim to deliver high-quality, dependable automotive solutions to consumers nationwide, especially in rapidly developing tier 2 and tier 3 markets and along prominent highways.”

Madhur Taneja, Chief Marketing Officer of Nayara Energy, added “Lubes are a critical category in our non-fuel retail offerings. This tie-up with Gulf Oil will enhance the range of products we provide, ensuring motorists have access to premium lubricants and quick lube change services, which are now available free of charge at our outlets.”

The collaboration is set against the backdrop of India’s expanding highway infrastructure, bolstered by initiatives like the Golden Quadrilateral Project. With over 91,000 fuel retail stations nationwide and a growing number of commercial vehicles and two-wheelers, the highway market represents a significant opportunity for fuel and automotive product retailers.
