Ramachandra Puttanna brings industry expertise to strengthen Greaves retail’s EV expansion.

Greaves Cotton Limited has announced the appointment of Ramachandra Puttanna as the new Business Head of EV Solutions and New Businesses within its Greaves Retail division. This move is a strategic step as Greaves Cotton aims to advance its role in India’s growing electric vehicle (EV) sector. With over 35 years of automotive experience, Ramachandra will lead efforts to expand Greaves Retail’s portfolio in EV components and emerging verticals, reporting directly to Greaves Retail CEO Narasimha Jayakumar.

In his new role Ramachandra will oversee the implementation of Greaves Retail’s sustainable mobility initiatives enhancing the company's position in the EV market. The division’s asset-light approach and focus on fuel-agnostic solutions allow it to cater to a broad market including three-wheelers, two-wheelers, small commercial vehicles, and construction equipment.

Ramachandra’s extensive background includes roles at companies like Fenner India, BOSCH India, Oman Trading, Magneti Marelli, and ZF Group, where he was most recently Vice President of the Aftermarket business. His leadership in operations across India and SAARC regions aligns with Greaves Retail’s vision of customer-centric and innovative services. With a Mechanical Engineering degree from Mysore University and further studies in business management, Ramachandra is well-prepared to lead Greaves Retail’s expansion.
