Gravton Motors Pvt Ltd, a Hyderabad-based EV full-stack company, unveiled its flagship electric motorcycle, Quanta, at an event held at T-Hub in Hyderabad.
Priced at INR 1.2 lakh, Quanta has received approval from the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), making it ready for commercial use.
The company claims that Quanta is the first electric motorcycle in India to feature Lithium Manganese Iron Phosphate (LMFP) batteries, which offer enhanced battery life, superior thermal stability, and extended range. It provides a range of up to 130 kms on a single charge, charges to 80% in under 90 minutes, and is designed for all-terrain durability with a maximum load capacity of 265 kilograms.
The motorcycle includes advanced connectivity features accessible via a dedicated mobile app. Users can monitor battery health, charge status, and range, as well as access remote start/stop functionality, vehicle tracking, and anti-theft alerts.
Speaking at the launch, Parshuram Paka, Founder and CEO of Gravton Motors, said, “Quanta is the result of five years of dedication by our team. It is designed for Bharat, suitable for both urban and rural commuting, and has passed stringent all-terrain tests.”
Quanta’s capabilities were highlighted by its record-breaking journey of 4,011 kms from Kanyakumari to Khardung La in just 6.5 days, earning recognition in the Asia Book of Records.
Gravton Motors plans to manufacture 30,000 Quanta units annually to meet the increasing demand for electric two-wheelers in India.
