Godawari Electric Motors (eblu) has announced its plans to foray into the electric three-wheeler market. The first e3W from the brand will feature body panels made of DCPD material, for which the company has also received a patent.
A press release from the company noted that DCPD is the latest plastic technology and offers a wide range of benefits. The impact-resistant material makes the vehicle strong enough to work during harsh conditions.
Additionally, through various tests, it has been tested that the material functions well after heavy or repeated impacts, in extremely hot temperatures and even after exposure to a variety of chemicals, the company noted.
Interestingly, DCPD is a rust-proof material that gives the vehicle a car-like paint finish, long life and superior fit and finish.
Godawari Electric Motors plans to roll out the electric three-wheeler in December from its upcoming manufacturing facility in Raipur.
The company is also looking to expand its lineup and will launch an e-cycle, e-scooter and e-loader by the end of this financial year. Last year, it announced that it would be investing up to INR 150 crore to set up an EV manufacturing plant in Raipur. It plans its foray into the EV retail space as well.
