Indian drone company Garuda Aerospace announced that the Indian Army has asked for support to modify drones for security needs.

A press release from Garuda Aerospace said it has been invited to dispatch its technical team to undertake the modification and help the Army maintain timelines and operational tempo whilst executing their duties towards the nation.

The release added that the Army also intends to further the usage of drones in integral day-to-day activities and bolster the effectiveness of special missions by detecting, deterring, and disrupting transnational organised criminal networks.

Garuda Aerospace noted that it will be analysing the practices and propose a solution using their ‘Make in India’ drones to decrease the vulnerability of Indian soldiers and manual labour involved by providing reconnaissance and logistic support.

Agnishwar Jayaprakash, Founder and CEO, Garuda Aerospace, said, “Garuda Aerospace has created significant traction by deploying drones for unique applications to support the Indian Army and now will be using multiple purpose drones for strategic and tactical operations. Our drones are designed with artificial intelligence and machines which have rapid learning.”
