In a bid to make fuel cell commercial vehicles cover longer distances, Freudenberg, the global air and liquid filtration technology provider, recently introduced a high-performance fuel cell filter for the first made-in-India fuel cell public transport bus by Sentient Labs.
A press release from the company noted that the micronAir filters help keep the fuel cells running in tough weather conditions and exposure to pollutants such as ammonia, allowing the bus for a claimed range of 600kms on a single tank of hydrogen.
Ashok Pandey, Director Automotive, Pharma, Consumer Filter, Freudenberg, India, said that each bus would be equipped with closed “FC F-513-N” fuel cell filters. They ensure that the buses keep running and reduce maintenance efforts.
The company said fuel cell filters are part of Freudenberg’s comprehensive portfolio of standardised products and customised solutions for hydrogen fuel cells.
