Fresh Bus, an all-electric intercity bus startup, has secured INR 87.5 crore ($10.5 million) in its Series A funding round. The round was led by transportation-focused VC fund Maniv, with participation from Shell Ventures, Alteria Capital, and existing investor Riverwalk Holdings.
Fresh Bus, which currently operates a fleet of 20 electric buses on routes between Bengaluru-Tirupati and Hyderabad-Vijayawada, plans to use the funds to expand its network. The funding will also support scaling operations, enhancing technology, and strengthening the team.
The company aims to scale to 1,000 electric buses nationwide over the next four years, contributing to reduced emissions and creating employment opportunities.
