FlixBus has officially commenced its operations in India. This marks a significant move for the company, introducing convenient and competitively priced intercity passenger transportation in the second-largest bus market globally.
India becomes the 43rd country where FlixBus launches its operations, partnering with local bus operators to provide a revolutionary travel experience. The network spans across Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh, covering 46 destination cities.
In response to local customer demands, FlixBus is introducing dedicated services, including gender seating, a 24x7 incident response team, traffic control ward, and 2-point seat belts for all seats. The company ensures top-quality buses, not older than three years and having travelled fewer than 500 km. Each bus is equipped with ABS (anti-blocking braking system) and ESC (electronic stability system), contributing to best-in-class safety standards.
To celebrate the launch, FlixBus is offering tickets at a special price starting as low as INR 99. The inaugural routes will commence on February 6th, connecting Delhi with various destinations such as Ayodhya, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Manali, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Ajmer, Katra, Dehradun, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Jodhpur, Dharamshala, Lucknow, and Amritsar. The routes include 59 stops and over 200 connections in total.
