Maserati has delivered its first electrified SUV, the 2022 Levante Hybrid, in Mumbai. Notably, the OEM's first Ghibli Hybrid was delivered in Delhi earlier this year.
Levante Hybrid combines the 4-cylinder, 2-litre engine with a 48-volt Hybrid system to recover energy during deceleration and braking. The hybrid car, as claimed by the company, weighs less than a six cylinder petrol engine and has the battery placed in the rear.
It produces a maximum power output of 330 hp and torque of 450 Nm at 2,250 rpm. It can achieve a top speed of 240 km/h and has acceleration capability from 0 to 100 km/h in six seconds. The company is selling the car at a price of INR 1.48 crore (Ex-showroom).
Abhishek Monty Agarwal, Founder, Purple Style Labs, has become the first person in Mumbai to own this car. He said, “I discovered the Maserati Levante on my trip to London way back in 2018 and I was instantly impressed by its exterior and interior details that contribute to this car’s immediately recognisable design.'
