Exicom Tele-systems Limited has announced a definitive agreement to acquire the business and assets of Tritium’s DC fast chargers based in Australia. This expansion will enhance Exicom's presence in key global markets and bolster its commitment to research and development, driving innovation in EV charging technology.

Tritium has sold over 13,000 DC fast chargers across 47 countries. Founded in 2001, Tritium designs and manufactures proprietary hardware and software to produce advanced and reliable liquid-cooled DC fast chargers for electric vehicles. These chargers are known for their aesthetic appeal, durability in challenging environments, and user-friendly design that simplifies installation and operation.

With this acquisition, Exicom is poised to unlock substantial long-term growth and value for its stakeholders. The combined product portfolios of Exicom and Tritium will enable the company to serve diverse use cases worldwide, accelerating the adoption of EV infrastructure and supporting the global shift towards sustainable mobility.

According to BloombergNEF's “Economic Transition Scenario,” EVs are expected to constitute 45 percent of global passenger-vehicle sales by 2030 and 73 percent by 2040.
