The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has approved ExecuJet MRO Services Middle East to undertake line and base maintenance on Falcon 2000 ‘Classic’ aircraft. The approval is significant as approximately half of all Dassault Aviation business jets registered in India are Falcon 2000 ‘Classic’ models.

“India is a very big and growing market for Dassault Aviation and also a very important market for ExecuJet MRO Services Middle East, thanks to geographic proximity,” said Nick Weber, Regional VP Middle East, ExecuJet MRO Services. The approval will allow ExecuJet to better support Indian Falcon business jet operators as Dubai is only a short flight away from India, with India-registered Falcon 2000s are already regular visitors for business and tourism.

A Dassault Aviation owned company, ExecuJet MRO Services is a

factory service centre for all in-production Dassault Falcon aircraft. ExecuJet MRO Services’ Middle East facility has already gained DGCA approval to work on various types of aircraft registered in India, such as Falcon 7X, Falcon 8X, Falcon 900C/EX/EASy and Falcon 2000EASy models.

The first model of the Dassault Falcon 2000 is referred to as the ‘Classic’ and is equipped with a Collins Proline 4 Avionics System and powered by CFE738 engines. CFE was a joint-venture between General Electric and AlliedSignal (now part of Honeywell).

ExecuJet is currently building a new 15,000 sq metre MRO facility at Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) that includes a large hangar and adjacent workshops and offices. The MRO firm started operations in Dubai over 20 years ago and will be moving base maintenance to Dubai World Central (DWC) from Dubai International Airport (DXB), although it will retain Aircraft On Ground (AOG) capability at DXB.
