Hyderabad-based ETO Motors has launched its innovative ‘Drive to Own’ scheme to promote the adoption of electric three-wheelers and support the city’s push towards sustainable urban transport. In collaboration with government agencies, NGOs, and aggregators such as Uber, ETO Motors is creating an ecosystem for electric 3-wheelers aimed at enhancing urban mobility and empowering drivers.
Drivers can join the programme with minimal upfront costs and benefit from free vehicle maintenance and unlimited charging throughout the ownership period. This hassle-free model provides financial flexibility while helping drivers reduce operational expenses and contribute to environmental sustainability.
ETO Motors is providing professional training programmes in partnership with government agencies and NGOs. These initiatives prepare drivers to operate electric 3-wheelers efficiently and enhance the overall customer experience. Over the next 12 months, ETO Motors plans to onboard 2,000 drivers under this scheme, significantly boosting Hyderabad’s shift to eco-friendly transportation.
To further strengthen its initiative, ETO Motors recently partnered with Uber to organise a training programme highlighting the advantages of electric vehicles over diesel-powered alternatives. During the event, drivers were introduced to the benefits of lower operating costs, reduced emissions, and advanced vehicle technology. The programme also recognised outstanding drivers for their contributions to the electric mobility ecosystem. This partnership ensures steady demand for drivers and increases the visibility of electric 3-wheelers in Hyderabad.
