Epsilon Sustainability Milestone mobility outlook

Epsilon Advanced Materials (EAM) unveiled its first Sustainability Report for 2023-24. The report underscores EAM's milestone of achieving 100% energy self-sufficiency through a waste heat recovery power plant and implementing a Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) system. These measures ensure that all wastewater is treated and reused on-site, highlighting the company's commitment to minimising environmental impact. A Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of EAM’s graphite anode materials reveals an up to 78% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions compared to similar materials produced in China. This significant achievement reinforces EAM’s role in supporting carbon reduction goals globally.

EAM’s report also emphasises digital transformation efforts, with a 69% adoption rate of advanced technologies aimed at achieving 100% digitalisation by 2025. These measures focus on operational efficiency, enhanced sustainability tracking, and financial management.

Beyond environmental stewardship, EAM has made notable contributions to community welfare, positively impacting over 300,000 lives across 49 villages in Karnataka. Initiatives include improving health and education services, advancing gender equality, and enhancing infrastructure. During water shortages, the company provided 12 lakh litres of drinking water to nearby villages, reflecting its commitment to local development.
