Emirates To Operate A380s In Bengaluru - Dubai Sector From October

Bengaluru will be the second city in India to be served by the Emirates A380. The airline has been operating A380s in the Dubai – Mumbai sector since 2014.

Emirates will become the first airline to operate the Airbus A380 Super Jumbo to Bengaluru when it commences scheduled passenger services in October. The airline will introduce its flagship A380 service at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport from October 30. 

The A380 is the world’s largest commercial aircraft in service. Bengaluru will be the second city in India to be served by the Emirates A380. The airline has been operating A380s in the Dubai – Mumbai sector since 2014. 

Operating as EK568/569, the double-decker aircraft will complement Emirates’ existing services, EK564/565 and EK566/567, each operating daily with Boeing 777-200LR and Boeing 777-300ERs. From October 30, Emirates will operate three flights daily using these aircraft from Kempegowda International Airport. 

Compared to the Boeing 777, Emirates can boost its capacity on a single flight by up to 45% when using the A380. Emirates’ A380 aircraft currently operates in over 30 airports across six continents, with over 130 destinations in the airline’s worldwide network.
