EKA Mobility has entered into a collaboration with Shuzlan Energy to provide EV charging infrastructure and advanced charging stations to its customers for public transportation across India.
The agreement makes Shuzlan Energy one of Eka’s official electric charging solution providers for its 9 m buses. The charging infrastructure provider will set-up ARAI- and OCPP-certified stations of 30 kW, 60 kW, and 120 kW for institutional customers across the country, a release stated.
Dr Sudhir Mehta, Chairman, EKA & Pinnacle Industries said the new partnership with Shuzlan Energy will allow customers to electrify their fleets rapidly and more conveniently. “We look forward to providing a wide range of necessary solutions and technologies in an integrated, streamlined, and operationally efficient way to democratise EVs with best-in-class TCO (total cost of ownership) solutions, and sustainable ecosystems,” Mehta said.
Shuzlan Energy is on a mission to deliver sustainably smart e-mobility solutions through its charging stations, said Shuel Bhamla, Director, Shuzlan Energy. The company has started deployment of charging stations in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat, and by 2024, it aims to deploy 10,000 charging stations across the country. “We are committed to building an ecosystem of reliable AC & DC chargers in India that will revolutionise e-mobility across the country,” he said.
A subsidiary of Pinnacle Industries, EKA launched its 9 m electric bus last year that has been completely designed and manufactured in India. The first batch of buses are scheduled to be soon deployed on roads. The bus, with capacity to seat 31 passengers and a driver, in addition to standing capacity, claims to offer 200 km range on a single charge.
