EKA Mobility Secures Order For 250 Electric Buses From Nagpur Municipal Corporation

EKA Mobility will manufacture and supply 12-metre, air-conditioned electric buses, each with a seating capacity for 41 passengers and standing space for an additional 24 commuters.

EKA Mobility has secured a large order from the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) to supply 250 electric buses. The contract was awarded to Hansa Vahan India Private Limited, formerly known as Hansa Travels, which has partnered with EKA Mobility for this project. These buses will operate on major routes across Nagpur improving the city’s public transport services.

In addition to providing the vehicles, EKA Mobility will be responsible for the annual maintenance of the entire fleet during the operational period ensuring the smooth running of the buses. This partnership is seen as a key step towards supporting India’s shift to clean energy and sustainable urban mobility.

Rohit Srivastava, Chief Growth Officer of EKA Mobility, stated that the deployment of these electric buses demonstrates EKA’s commitment to promoting green mobility solutions across Indian cities, helping them achieve their clean energy goals.
