Intelligent power management company, Eaton has inaugurated the expanded electrical plant in Puducherry. With this expansion, the company aims to double the capacity of its medium voltage assembly lines while incorporating enhanced infrastructure from the plant.
A press release from the company noted that the new block spans across 40,000 square feet and is laid out with cutting-edge manufacturing lines to produce ACBs (Air Circuit Breakers) and MCCBs (Moulded Case Circuit Breakers) to ably serve the electrical industry deploying the state-of-the-art Lean manufacturing concepts.
The expanded area includes a centralised warehouse housing all of Eaton's Power Distribution products, along with a customer experience centre providing a unique opportunity for customers to directly engage with the products being manufactured on-site, and a space for employees for recreational activities.
Syed Sajjadh Ali, Managing Director, India- Electrical Sector, Eaton, noted that by leveraging Industry 4.0 principles, the company aims to enhance process capability, optimise production efficiency, and deliver high-quality products to our valued customers.
Additionally, the expansion will create new job opportunities and play a vital role in the overall industrial development of the region, Ali added.
