Electric vehicle maker e-Ashwa Automotive has announced its entry into the electric auto segment with the launch of e-auto priced at INR 1.65 lakh ex-showroom Delhi.
The company seems to be focusing on the last-mile mobility market to drive sales of its first e-auto. Vikas Gupta, Founder & CEO, e-Ashwa Automotive, said, “We operate in the affordable electric mobility segment and autos are key enablers in bridging the last-mile mobility gaps.”
The e-auto is powered by Lithium Ion (3-4 hour charging time) and Lead Acid batteries (7-8 hours charging time). The company claims a range of upto 100 km and the vehicle will be available in Sky Blue, Green, Orange, Black and White colors. These e-autos can reach a maximum speed of 25 kmph.
The company has launched 12 different models of electric 2-wheelers last year. It has sold over 18,000 EV products under different categories - e-scooters, e-motorbikes, e-rickshaws, e-auto, e-loaders, e-food cart to e-garbage vehicles. It has assembly units in 16 states and around 950 dealers across the country.
