The mechanical and plant engineering firm, Dürr, has announced the launch of its new atomiser generation, EcoBell4. It is available in two variants; the basic version is for standard applications and the pro version for special processes like 4x1C or 3x2C.
According to the press release from the company, it performs colour changes faster than any other high-speed rotary atomiser, reduces paint and solvent consumption and VOC emissions, and features RFID technology for predictive maintenance.
RFID (radio frequency identification) technology is a wireless data exchange between a transponder and a writing or reading device that improves processes directly in the paint booth and maintenance, the release added.
Other new features include a robust rotation speed acquisition system designed for easier maintenance, a vibration sensor integrated into the robot that detects imbalances in the bell disk and turbine before they cause damage, and a protective stocking with a patented attachment concept. In addition, it reduces soiling so that at least four hours of painting are possible without cleaning the atomiser in between.
Furthermore, the pro version features the new 4-main-needle technology, a benchmark for efficiency and resource consumption, the release added.
The company said the patented system needs four seconds per colour change for high-runner paints. The significantly shorter colour changes positively impact paint and solvent losses, which are lower than any other atomiser on the market. As a result, less waste cuts operating costs and is also better for the environment with fewer VOCs generated, it added.
The flexibility and universality of the EcoBell4 Pro are best demonstrated in combination with the new EcoProBooth. With its smart painting booth design, the EcoProBooth combines all painting tasks in just one box, including the new, innovative EcoBell4 Pro Ux atomiser, the release added.
