Duracell Inc of the USA has granted a licensing agreement to Satya Intl allowing the company to manufacture, market, and distribute automotive, tubular, inverter, and UPS batteries along with a range of automotive accessories across Asian and African markets. The agreement marks a significant expansion of Duracell’s presence in the automotive power sector while strengthening Satya Intl’s portfolio in battery and power solutions. The new product range will be launched in mid-February 2025 and made available through distribution channels starting April 2025.
Satya Intl will now introduce Duracell-branded lead-acid, tubular, inverter, and UPS batteries to consumers across multiple countries. In addition to the battery range, the company will also offer automotive accessories, including battery chargers, maintainers, and jump starters, catering to growing demand in the sector. The licensing agreement is expected to enhance Satya Intl’s market position by leveraging Duracell’s reputation for quality and reliability in battery technology.
The licensing agreement grants Satya Intl the rights to distribute Duracell-branded automotive and power products across a vast number of countries. In Asia, this includes Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Vietnam, and New Zealand. In Africa, the company will distribute in Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, the Central African Republic, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Iberia, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Palestine, Rwanda, Senegal, Seychelles, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
