Ducati has unveiled its latest iteration of the Streetfighter V4 and V4 S setting a new standard in the naked superbike category. Built on the acclaimed Panigale V4 platform, the Streetfighter V4 series combines high-performance track capabilities with everyday usability showcasing MotoGP-derived technology and refined design. The motorcycles are slated to arrive in dealerships by March 2025, available in single-seater configurations with an optional passenger kit.
This 1,103cc, Euro5+ compliant V4 engine delivers 211 bhp at 13,500 rpm and 120 Nm of torque at 11,250 rpm. With the optional Akrapovic racing exhaust, the power output increases to 223 bhp, making it one of the most powerful naked bikes available. The engine incorporates variable-length intake trumpets for optimised power delivery and enhanced rideability, along with a counter-rotating crankshaft and Twin Pulse firing order for a characteristic Ducati sound.
The Streetfighter V4 S boasts a power-to-weight ratio of 1.11 bhp/kg, achieved through a lighter kerb weight of 189 kg, forged aluminium wheels, and a lithium battery. Its advanced Ohlins Smart EC 3.0 suspension, combined with the Race eCBS braking system and Brembo Hypure calipers, ensures superior handling and braking performance. The base Streetfighter V4 shares many features but uses a Showa Big Piston Fork and Sachs rear monoshock, with a slightly heavier kerb weight of 191 kg.
The Streetfighter V4 maintains its aggressive, minimalist aesthetics, highlighted by a redesigned full-LED headlight, aerodynamic biplane wings, and a sleeker tail section. The new 6.9-inch full-TFT dashboard, with its 8:3 aspect ratio, enhances visibility and functionality. The dashboard adapts dynamically, offering customised displays for road and track use, including navigation, lap timing, and real-time telemetry derived from MotoGP technology.
The chassis is derived directly from the Panigale V4, featuring a lighter front frame and a redesigned Hollow Symmetrical Swingarm. These elements improve cornering stability, rider feedback, and overall agility without sacrificing high-speed stability. The ergonomic updates, including a repositioned handlebar, lower footpegs, and improved seat-tank interface, enhance comfort, particularly for taller riders. Innovative thermal management directs hot air away from the rider for improved comfort during extended rides.
The electronics package is one of the most sophisticated in the industry, integrating a 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) and advanced control systems. Features such as Ducati Traction Control, Slide Control, Wheelie Control, Power Launch, and Quick Shift ensure precise handling and optimised performance across varied riding conditions. The Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO), a predictive algorithm developed in MotoGP, monitors over 70 parameters, enabling highly responsive electronic adjustments.
The Streetfighter V4 series offers riding modes, including Race, Sport, Road, and Wet, ensuring versatility for both track enthusiasts and casual riders. The aerodynamic biplane wings provide 17 kg of downforce at 270 kmph, enhancing high-speed stability and cornering confidence. Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV Corsa tyres further elevate the bike’s grip and agility.
