Ducati has unveiled the special edition Panigale V4 Tricolore celebrating the company’s Italian heritage and engineering excellence. Limited to just 1,000 numbered units, the Tricolore features a unique asymmetrical livery inspired by the 1984 Ducati 750 F1, the motorcycle that defined modern supersport bikes. This collector's model boasts a range of advanced components, making it one of the most technically sophisticated motorcycles on the market.
At the heart of the Panigale V4 Tricolore is Ducati’s 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale engine, delivering a maximum power output of 214 bhp at 13,500 rpm and peak torque of 120.9 Nm at 11,250 rpm. The bike’s dry weight is just 188 kg, aided by carbon fibre rims that reduce weight by 0.95 kg compared to forged wheels. These rims lower the front and rear moment of inertia by 12% and 19% respectively, improving cornering agility and directional changes, especially during track use.
For the first time, Ducati has incorporated the Front Brake Pro system, featuring 338.5 mm finned Brembo T-Drive discs paired with Hypure callipers. Derived from racing technology, these discs offer superior braking power and consistency under extreme conditions. The setup is complemented by a Brembo MCS 19.21 front brake pump with remote lever adjustment, similar to configurations seen in MotoGP and Superbike championships.
The Tricolore’s chassis is based on Ducati’s 'Front Frame' design, paired with a 17-litre aluminium tank. The Öhlins NPX-30 pressurised fork, TTX-36 shock absorber, and steering damper are all managed by Ducati Electronic Suspension (DES) 3.0, ensuring precise handling across various riding conditions. Additionally, the bike features adjustable billet aluminium footpegs and an Alcantara seat, enhancing rider comfort and control.
In terms of electronics, the Panigale V4 Tricolore is equipped with Ducati’s Race eCBS and Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO), which improve performance by integrating aerodynamics, chassis dynamics, and electronics. The bike also includes a GPS module and a dedicated dashboard animation that activates at key-on, adding a personalised touch for each rider.
The model’s aesthetics combine tradition and modernity. The asymmetrical Tricolore livery incorporates the Italian flag colours with black-and-white elements symbolising the chequered flag. Additional carbon fibre components, including mudguards, chain guards, and swingarm covers, contribute to the bike’s sleek appearance while maintaining lightweight construction.
For track enthusiasts, the Tricolore comes with an optional kit featuring a racing tank cap, carbon fibre brake calliper air conveyors, and a license plate removal kit. A dry clutch and open carbon fibre clutch cover are included as standard. Each bike also comes with a certificate of authenticity, a bespoke motorcycle cover, and an aluminium ignition key engraved with the model’s unit number.
