Ducati India has listed the new Multistrada V4 RS on its website, indicating that the launch of the bike is imminent. The Ducati Multistrada V4 RS is the most powerful Multistrada yet, featuring the same engine that powers the Streetfighter V4 and the Panigale V4.
It is powered by a 1,103cc, Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine that makes 180bhp at 12,250rpm and 118Nm at 9,500rpm. The Multistrada V4 RS also uses lightweight parts in keeping with the aim to enhance overall performance. The bike has 17-inch, Marchesini forged aluminium rims at both ends and a titanium subframe.
Ducati has gone the distance to distinguish the Multistrada RS from its less sporty siblings. The new colour, Iceberg White, looks rather fetching. There are interesting details as well like thecontrasting, red coloured stripe across the tank and radiator cover as well as the red accents on the front brake caliper and a part of the spokes on the alloy wheels. The single-sided swingarm is another aspect of the design that enhances the visual appeal of the motorcycle.
Under the bodywork, there’s an Aluminium monocoque chassis suspended by an electronically adjustable Ohlins suspension at the front and rear. Braking duties are taken care of by twin 330mm discs with Brembo Stylema calipers and 265mm disc at the rear with a Brembo two-piston caliper.
The Ducati Mutistrada V4 RS is expected to be priced well between Rs 32 to Rs 35 lakh, ex-showroom. It goes up against the BMW M 1000 XR.
