DriveX has announced the launch of a new artificial intelligence-powered Self-Inspection tool that allows owners of pre-owned two-wheelers to assess their vehicle’s resale value without needing a physical dealer visit. This new development marks a significant shift in India’s growing second-hand two-wheeler market, which is expected to reach USD 30 billion, or approximately INR 2.5 lakh crore, within five years, growing at 12 percent year-on-year.

The Self-Inspection tool blends AI-driven visual assessment with market-based pricing algorithms to generate an instant price estimate. Users can input basic vehicle details, upload photos and video of their two-wheeler, and complete a short questionnaire on the engine, brakes, and accident history. The AI then analyses these inputs to identify damage, wear, and performance condition, providing a real-time resale price adjusted for market demand and refurbishment costs.

Narain Karthikeyan, Founder, DriveX, stated that the resale process has traditionally been plagued by unreliable price quotes, lack of clarity, and time-consuming inspections. With the Self-Inspection tool, DriveX offers sellers a data-driven and transparent method to evaluate their vehicle’s worth quickly and efficiently.

For sellers preferring an in-person experience, DriveX also provides professional evaluations at more than 60 physical locations across Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. The Self-Inspection tool does not eliminate this option but complements it by providing an initial appraisal remotely, allowing users to make informed decisions before finalising a sale.

Once a digital evaluation is complete, sellers can book an appointment for final inspection and, if satisfied with the revised offer, receive payment on completion of the transaction. The process removes ambiguity from price discovery while reducing delays typically associated with pre-owned vehicle sales.
