A Yale graduate with a Doctorate in Engineering Management from the University of Warwick, UK, Dr Venu’s appointment marks a new phase of innovation and strategic growth for TAFE, reinforcing its status as a global leader in farm mechanization.

In a significant leadership transition, Dr Lakshmi Venu has been appointed as Vice Chairman of TAFE - Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited, one of the world's largest tractor manufacturers.

A dynamic leader with a proven track record in the farm mechanization and auto component industry, Dr Venu has been instrumental in shaping TAFE’s Massey Ferguson and Eicher Tractors business, reinforcing the company’s commitment to innovation, quality, and customer-centricity.

Recognizing her strategic vision and impactful contributions, TAFE’s Board announced her elevation, further strengthening the company's leadership for future growth. With a strong academic background and extensive experience in the tractor and automotive components sector, she brings a unique blend of business acumen and forward-thinking leadership.

Dr Venu’s leadership has already been widely recognized—she was named one of Business Today’s ‘Most Powerful Women in Business’ in 2023 and received the Economic Times ‘Young Leaders - 40 under 40’ recognition. In addition to her role at TAFE, she serves as Managing Director of Sundaram-Clayton Ltd., a leading automotive component manufacturer.
