Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), a subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG, has announced the appointment of Michael Moebius as its new President and Chief Procurement & Supply Chain Officer, effective from November 1, 2024.
Previously, Moebius served as Head of Quality Management at Daimler Truck Asia (DTA) in Japan, overseeing quality initiatives for Mitsubishi Fuso, DICV, PABCO, and several CKD assembly locations globally. Known for his focus on product quality and innovative solutions, Michael was instrumental in reducing warranty costs and implementing ‘Proactive Sensing,’ a big data solution designed for early failure detection.
Starting his career with Daimler in 1990, Moebius has held key roles across Mercedes-Benz Cars and Daimler Buses, amassing experience in countries such as Brazil, Vietnam, Iran, India, and Japan. From 2010 to 2016, he was a crucial part of DICV, helping establish global quality standards and drive operational excellence.
