Delta presented a wide portfolio of IoT-based Smart Green Solutions at ELECRAMA 2023, which includes a smart microgrid-based Green EV charging station and the new open-loop variable-torque standard drive VP3000 series (electric drive).
The former is a total solution integrating Delta’s EV chargers, energy storage systems, PV inverters, and EV charging infrastructure management system to enable microgrids capable of providing clean electricity to EVs while helping to stabilise the grid of the EV charging infrastructure.
Benjamin Lin, President, Delta Electronics India, said, “From 2010 to 2021, our high-efficiency products and solutions helped our customers save over 35.9 billion kWh of electricity, which translates into a reduction of 19.01 million tonne CO2e. We intend to leverage our global leadership in energy infrastructure, reflected in the more than two million Delta EV chargers shipped to our customers worldwide over the past decade, to help Indian cities reduce their carbon footprint.”
Interestingly, the company invests over 8% of its annual revenues into R&D. Its green EV charging solution helps mitigate the pressure on the grid by adding distributed energy resources with solar energy and energy storage at or near EV charging stations. In addition, this aids in increasing the capacity required on-peak to serve the EV charging under existing electricity infrastructure.
Niranjan Nayak, Managing Director, Delta Electronics India, said, “We have cumulatively delivered over 7,000 EV chargers to our customers across the country, and the Green EV Charging Station launched today at ELECRAMA will help facilitate India’s e-mobility transition even further.”
