Delta Electronics Inaugurates New India Headquarters mobility outlook

Delta Electronics has officially opened its new India headquarters and Global Research & Development (R&D) Centre in Bengaluru, marking a step in its strategy to enhance its local capabilities in power management and IoT-driven solutions. Located in the Bommasandra Industrial Area, the new headquarters spans 61,000 square metres and is expected to house up to 3,000 employees over the next five years. The facility aims to support Delta’s efforts in developing high-efficiency power solutions, particularly for India’s growing telecom, data centre, and electric vehicle charging sectors.

Delta’s new headquarters has been designed with a strong focus on research and development. The company plans to employ up to 750 engineers in its R&D department over the next three years. The facility includes dedicated labs for energy storage, automotive design, and high-voltage product testing. These advanced capabilities are expected to help Delta develop solutions that cater to both the Indian market and global customers.

The building has received LEED Gold certification and incorporates a 593kW solar photovoltaic (PV) system capable of generating over 650,000 kWh of electricity annually. Delta’s own 100kW PV inverters and a set of 82 variable frequency drives help optimise the energy efficiency of the facility. Additionally, the headquarters features a Green Energy Data Centre with an annual Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) as low as 1.4, showcasing the company’s commitment to energy efficiency. Security is enhanced with advanced surveillance systems provided by Delta’s subsidiary, VIVOTEK.

The headquarters also includes employee-centric spaces, such as leisure zones, a canteen, and recreation areas, highlighting Delta’s focus on employee well-being. This employee-first approach is part of the company’s long-term strategy to attract and retain top talent in the R&D sector.
