Continental Tires India has launched its PremiumContact 6 (PC6) tyres and ContiSeal technology at the Continental Track Day 2025. The event also showcased the company’s new Gen3 Truck Radial tyres, underscoring Continental’s commitment to providing comprehensive mobility solutions for both passenger and commercial vehicles in India.
The PremiumContact 6 combines cutting-edge technologies to ensure safety, performance, and comfort. The tyre incorporates Macroblock technology for enhanced cornering control, a silica compound for improved wet and dry grip, and an asymmetric tread pattern to optimise grip during lateral force application. With rim sizes ranging from 17 to 20 inches, the PC6 is now available at Continental Tires outlets nationwide.
ContiSeal Technology is designed to eliminate the need for immediate roadside assistance in case of punctures. This self-sealing system uses a viscous layer inside the tyre to seal up to 85% of punctures caused by objects up to 5 mm in diameter. This innovation ensures that drivers can continue their journeys uninterrupted, even if the object causing the puncture is dislodged. ContiSeal is especially suited to the unpredictable conditions of Indian roads, providing enhanced safety and convenience by reducing dependency on spare tyres.
Two new sizes, 295/90 R20 and 235/75 R17.5, have been added to the range to meet the demands of India’s Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicle (MHCV) segment. The 295/90 R20 size, featuring five advanced tread patterns, is tailored for hybrid and regional applications, while the 235/75 R17.5 size caters to light commercial vehicle buses and trucks, offering durability and optimal mileage.
