Collins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies business, has unveiled its new electronic Cabin Bag (eCB) solution, which reduces cabin touchpoints for aircraft crew and is now available to airlines across the globe.

The eCB solution digitises documents, inflight processes and inflight inventory, replaces traditional paper-heavy processes, and provides cabin crew with the information needed on a single device.

“eCB gives airlines a boost in efficiency and ancillary revenue while simultaneously helping their passengers and crew feel confident in returning to travel,” said Clotilde Enel-Rehel, General Manager, Commercial Aviation & Network Services, Collins Aerospace. “The data and analytics generated by eCB will also enable airlines to make informed decisions to better support their strategic and tactical planning.”

The eCB solution also enhances the passenger experience by eliminating their need to touch high-traffic call buttons with real-time access to the onboard inventory of food, beverage and inflight shopping available to passengers during any stage of the flight. The items shown will also be available for purchase.

ECB can enable real-time credit card payment verification on aircraft with satellite connections, delivering even more convenience to passengers.
