ClarityX, an AI-driven data analytics and consulting firm backed by the founders of MapmyIndia, has unveiled Places Pulse, a new search analytics tool that tracks and analyses India’s movement and consumer behaviour trends across locations and time periods.
Accessible via the ClarityX website, Places Pulse is already transforming how stakeholders interpret and act on location-driven consumer behaviour. With this launch, ClarityX is enabling smarter decision-making and reaffirming its mission to deliver clarity in motion.
According to Rakhi Prasad, Co-founder of ClarityX, Places Pulse is not just a dashboard but a real-time movement map for India, enabling users to identify demand spikes, decode consumer patterns by location and strategise with precision. By processing over 9GB of daily logs and more than 450 million monthly search records, the platform offers a smarter, faster and more cost-effective alternative to traditional surveys and expensive feedback tools.
Places Pulse allows users to track hyperlocal trends across States, districts and even rural-urban divides, monitor over 12 industry categories including restaurants, healthcare, tourism and finance, and gain time-based insights that reveal peak hours and seasonal demand shifts. It also offers geospatial heatmaps and early trend forecasting, making it a powerful tool for those seeking on-ground intelligence.
Some key insights from the platform include that 49% of all searches in India are for religious places, followed by 23% for hospitals and clinics, pointing to strong cultural and healthcare-related interest. Goa saw a 62% spike in tourist-related searches in November, becoming the most searched destination of the month.
Andaman & Nicobar and Goa led the way in pub and bar searches, accounting for 25% to 30% of all queries in the restaurant category. In Andhra Pradesh, bakery-related searches rose sharply from 5% in January to 36% in April. Kamrup Metropolitan in Guwahati recorded the highest search activity in Assam, while Sri Ganga Ram Hospital was the most searched hospital in Delhi in 2024.
ClarityX says Places Pulse is relevant for a wide range of users. Businesses can optimise marketing and expansion plans based on actual consumer demand; retail and hospitality players can identify high-potential zones for stores, hotels and franchises; policymakers and urban planners can use real-time location data to guide infrastructure and service development; and investors and analysts can track shifting consumer interest and market dynamics before they make headlines.
