French carmaker Citroen on Wednesday launched its entry-level C3 in India at INR 5.75 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi for the base Live trim level while the Feel variant starts at INR 6.62 lakh.
Initially, to be retailed through the company’s 20 phygital sales outlets across 19 states namely, New Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kochi, Chennai, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Lucknow, Bhubaneswar*, Surat, Nagpur, Vizag, Calicut, and Coimbatore. Going forward the company aims to increase the number to 30 by the end of this calendar.
Dubbed as a hatch with a twist, the C3 gets two powertrain options under the hood - 1.2 NA petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox in the PURETECH 82 guise, delivering 82 PS of output and a claimed fuel efficiency of 19.8 kmpl. While the PURETECH 110 gets 1.2L turbo-charged petrol powertrain mated to a 6-speed manual transmission with a power output of 110 PS and a claimed fuel efficiency of 19.4 kmpl.
During the unveiling of the product the company assured that an automatic transmission variant is also in the pipeline for future.
In terms of the tech features, the car gets a 10-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a full digital instrument cluster, powered windows and dedicated USB charging slots for front and rear passengers among others.
Additionally, to woo their target audience, which mainly consists of millennials, the company is offering as many as 56 customisation options and over 70 accessories.
While the safety features list of the vehicle includes dual airbags, rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, speed-sensitive auto door lock and a high-speed alert system.
To be available in four monotone colour options and six dual tone colour options which are standard across Feel trim level and optional for the Live variant, the hatchback is available with a standard vehicle warranty for two years or 40,000 km and 24/7 Roadside Assistance while extended warranty and maintenance packages are also available through the dealers.

This is the company’s first model from the C-Cubed family of vehicles that are designed and engineered in India, he added continuing that with over 90% localised parts in the New C3, it is leveraging its supplier base, R&D Center in Chennai, the Vehicle Assembly Plant at Thiruvallur and the Powertrain Plant at Hosur in the state of Tamil Nadu.
