Citroen's export of the E-C3 from India showcases the company's manufacturing and engineering capabilities while contributing significantly to India's goal of a sustainable and globally competitive EV manufacturing ecosystem.

Citroen India has announced the commencement of exports of the locally manufactured E-C3 to international markets, making it as the first multinational car manufacturer in India to achieve such a feat.

Aditya Jairaj, CEO & MD, Stellantis India, said, 'India is not only a strategic market but also a major sourcing hub for vehicles, components, and mobility technologies within the Stellantis group. Commencing the export of the versatile 'Made-In-India Citroen E-C3' electric vehicle to international customers is a proud validation of our engineering and development capabilities.'

Flagging off the first 500 units of Citroen E-C3 to Indonesia, Lise Talbot Barré, Consul General of France in Pondicherry and Chennai, highlighted the strength of Indian-French industrial cooperation in achieving cleaner mobility globally. The Citroen E-C3's export journey symbolises the strategic partnership between India and France, contributing to the Indo-French commitment to sustainable development in the Indo-Pacific region.
