IAA Mobility inauguration

The German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has flagged off the second edition of IAA Mobility. The six-day event will witness more than 300 latest world premieres from the global automotive industry. As a significant platform for dialogue between all stakeholders, 500 speakers will share insights at the IAA Conference this year.

Visitors will be able to see the displays, listen to keynotes and discussions and even test 150 different vehicles on the streets there, as well as bicycles and e-bikes for the first time on a dedicated route in Munich's Englischer Garten.

Scholz stated at the inauguration that Munich's first mobility revolution started 135 years ago. The second revolution, towards environmentally friendly mobility, also finds its home here at IAA Mobility. It's the manufacturers of powerful, affordable, and beautiful electric cars that make e-mobility appealing.

Bavarian Prime Minister Dr Markus Söder added that mobility is part of the Bavarian DNA and stands for progress and freedom. Future concepts for the modern and sustainable mobility of tomorrow are presented here.

IAA Mobility brings together manufacturers and suppliers of the automotive industry, technology companies and startups, urban planners, energy suppliers and providers of other forms of mobility – bicycles, e-scooters, the railway and many more.
