CEAT has announced its partnership with MG Motor India to launch and provide tyres for the Comet EV with advanced tyre technologies required in electric vehicles to improve efficiency and comfort to the passengers.
Arnab Banerjee, MD & CEO, CEAT, noted that the partnership with MG Motor India for the Comet showcases the company’s expertise in EV, and the tyre maker is confident that the tyres will provide improved performance and safety for this vehicle.

The collaboration showcases MG’s promise of pushing boundaries and redefining the future of e-mobility, he added.
The tyre company has recently launched several initiatives in the EV tyre business. It has launched India's EV-specific tyres for cars, called EnergyDrive. These tyres are designed to offer high wear resistance, lower rolling resistance, and a longer tyre life, making them ideal for use in electric vehicles. It has also launched tyres specifically designed for electric buses and two-wheelers, demonstrating its commitment to supporting sustainable transportation.
