CEAT Nagpur mobility outlook

CEAT has reached a significant milestone with the rollout of its 100 millionth tyre from its Nagpur plant. This accomplishment not only highlights CEAT's dedication to innovation and sustainability but also demonstrates its capacity to meet the growing demand for two-wheeler (2W) tyres both domestically and internationally.

Jayasankar Kuruppal, Senior Vice President of Manufacturing at CEAT, emphasised the Nagpur plant's role in setting benchmarks not only in production but also in empowering the workforce. The plant has been notable for its focus on gender diversity, with about 25% of its shop-floor employees being women, and for its initiatives in inducting Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). Kuruppal reiterated CEAT’s dedication to serving customers globally with top-notch quality products, reflecting the company's ethos of inclusivity and innovation.

By catering to a substantial portion of India's 2W tyre demand, the plant solidifies CEAT’s leadership in the rapidly expanding Indian two-wheeler market.

Beyond its domestic impact, the Nagpur facility serves as a critical export hub, reaching markets across Africa, America, Europe, Bangladesh, the Philippines, Nepal, Indonesia, and Vietnam. Vishal Pawar, Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Supply Chain, highlighted the plant’s pivotal role in meeting domestic demand while also catering to international markets. With the integration of smart factory capabilities, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, CEAT has established successful supply partnerships with all major Indian 2W Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). This milestone further reinforces CEAT’s commitment to delivering world-class products globally.
