As part of its initiative to contribute to the Central Government’s Skill India Mission, CASE Construction Equipment on Tuesday inaugurated its Skill Development Centre to provide a good understanding and training on backhoe loader operation.
Located at Sonvai, Rau, Pithampur, the facility is spread across 1200 sq ft comprising two classrooms dedicated to theory classes and counselling. The company claims that the facility can train 240 professionals each year.
According to a press release from CASE, the training centre is open to accept entries from applicants in the age group of 18 to 35 years with a minimum education qualification of 8th standard, and the individual must be an LMV commercial driving license holder. The training and accommodation will be provided free of charge. It has already enrolled 30 trainees and will initiate its first batch soon, the company noted.
The programme is divided into key categories including technical skills, product and process knowledge, health and safety, soft skills grooming such as interpersonal skills, personal management, work life sensitivity and life skills. The programme will be conducted for minimum mandated hours, as stipulated by the Infrastructure Equipment Sector Skill Council and as per common norms and notification issued by the Ministry of Skills and Entrepreneurship of the Government of India.
The programme will also offer basic computer knowledge assessment and certification and periodic assessments as a post-training course conducted by CASE India’s experts and industry professionals. All trainees will be assessed and certified by Infrastructure Equipment Sector Skill Council Roles & Responsibilities.
Additionally, the trainees can be employed with CNH dealers/clients or other loader backhoe dealers/construction sites, the release added.
The employment of the trainees will depend upon the available placement opportunities within the district or state, it said.
