C S Vigneshwar Takes Over As FADA’s 37th President

FADA’s Governing Council has elevated Sai Giridhar, MD of Saisha Motors, to Vice President, and Amar Jatin Sheth, MD of Group Shaman, to Secretary for the 2024-26 term.

The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA), the apex national body representing automobile retailers in India, has announced the appointment of C S Vigneshwar as its 37th President for the term 2024-26. The decision was made during FADA's 315th Governing Council Meeting, held immediately after its 60th Annual General Meeting.

Vigneshwar, Managing Director of Anaamalais Toyota based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, brings a wealth of experience, including his leadership of dealerships for Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles (VECV) and Ather Energy. His ARC group of companies also has diversified interests in sectors such as goods transportation, green energy, FMCG, and education, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and corporate social responsibility.

A veteran in the industry, Vigneshwar has served on the VECV Apex Consultative Committee for 16 years and has been part of the Toyota Dealer Council for 11 years, including seven years as the Head of the Toyota India Service Dealer Council. He has been actively involved with FADA for over a decade and currently serves as the Area Commander for the Home Guards in Coimbatore City.

In addition to Vigneshwar's appointment, FADA’s Governing Council has elevated Sai Giridhar, MD of Saisha Motors, to Vice President, and Amar Jatin Sheth, MD of Group Shaman, to Secretary for the 2024-26 term. Pradeep Agarwal, Managing Partner of JMG Group, has been unanimously elected as Treasurer.

Outgoing FADA President, Manish Raj Singhania, said, 'During my tenure, we made substantial progress with the Model Dealer Agreement and strengthened relationships between dealers and financial institutions. I pass the baton to Vigneshwar with confidence that his leadership will guide FADA to even greater success.,'

Upon accepting the role, Vigneshwar highlighted the significant milestones ahead for FADA. 'As we celebrate FADA’s 60th year, our focus will be on fortifying the foundations we have laid, particularly through initiatives like the Retail Protection Act and the Model Dealer Agreement. With over 15,000 dealerships employing five million people, we are committed to driving growth, innovation, and stronger partnerships in the auto retail sector,' he said.
