On the first anniversary of the BYD SEAL, a luxury electric sedan, BYD India, a subsidiary of the world’s leading New Energy Vehicle (NEV) manufacturer, has announced significant product enhancements for both the BYD SEAL and BYD ATTO 3.
These upgrades, focused on improving performance, comfort, technology, and the overall driving experience, reflect BYD's dedication to maintaining its leadership in the rapidly evolving electric vehicle (EV) market.
The BYD ATTO 3, India’s first sporty born eSUV, continues its upward trajectory with over 3,100 units sold since its launch. The MY 2025 upgrades bring several new features, starting with an all-new black interior décor. The updated cabin now includes ventilated seats for the driver and front passenger, offering a more premium and sophisticated feel, aligning perfectly with the expectations of discerning Indian customers.
The ATTO 3 also introduces an upgrade to its low-voltage battery, transitioning to a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, which offers significant benefits over conventional options. The new LFP battery is six times lighter, has five times better self-discharge consumption, and boasts an impressive 15-year lifespan, making it the first in its segment to feature this advanced technology. This upgrade enhances reliability and longevity, providing added peace of mind for BYD ATTO 3 owners.
Additionally, to celebrate the anniversary and offer value to customers, the first 3,000 bookings for the ATTO 3 MY 2025 will be available at ex-showroom prices from 2024, making it even more accessible to Indian consumers.
Luxury, Innovation Redefined
The BYD SEAL has also undergone a series of improvements for MY 2025, elevating the driving experience for its growing customer base. The sedan now features a power sunshade, silver-plated dimming canopy, and an upgraded air-conditioning system with a larger compressor and a new air purification module. These additions enhance comfort and luxury in the cabin, giving the SEAL a refined and premium atmosphere.
In terms of performance, the BYD SEAL now includes Frequency Selective Dampers (FSD), which were previously exclusive to the performance variant. This new suspension system adapts to various road conditions, ensuring a smoother ride with improved comfort. The Performance trim of the SEAL also sees the introduction of BYD’s DiSus-C intelligent damping system, which dynamically adjusts the suspension based on real-time inputs, offering enhanced stability and comfort during driving. This technology improves the ride by softening the suspension on bumpy roads and stiffening it during dynamic maneuvers such as cornering and acceleration.
The BYD SEAL also introduces wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, offering seamless smartphone integration. To enhance the in-car experience further, the vehicle now features a sound wave function designed to improve the cabin’s acoustics and optimize the driving experience.

Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicles (EPV) Business at BYD India, said, “The enhancements to the BYD SEAL and BYD ATTO 3 represent a significant step forward in our commitment to innovation. We’re confident that these upgrades will further strengthen BYD’s position as a leader in the EV revolution.”
With the latest upgrades to both the BYD SEAL and BYD ATTO 3, BYD India continues to set the benchmark for performance, comfort, and technology in the electric vehicle market, ensuring that its customers enjoy a luxurious, reliable, and innovative driving experience.
