BYD marked a milestone with the production of its six millionth new energy vehicle. This achievement, accomplished in just three months since surpassing the 5 million mark, highlights BYD's dedication to spearheading advancements in the electric vehicle industry.
The six millionth new energy vehicle, named BAO 5, represents a super hybrid SUV under BYD’s specialized sub-brand, FANGCHENGBAO.
In October alone, BYD set a monthly sales record, exceeding 300,000 new energy vehicles globally. Since 2010, BYD has actively expanded its global presence by introducing new energy buses and taxis for public transit electrification. Over the past decade, BYD's electric public transport solutions have been implemented in more than 400 cities across 70 countries.
Adopting a dual approach of exports and local production, BYD has entered 58 countries and regions, surpassing cumulative sales of 200,000 units of passenger vehicles. Notable successes in the new energy vehicle market include achievements in Thailand, Brazil, and other locations.
